Child Protection And Advocacy

At CaRNaC Uganda, we are committed to safeguarding the rights, dignity, and well-being of every child. Our Child Protection Program is a cornerstone of our mission to create safe, supportive environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence.

We adopt a holistic, community-based approach that empowers not just children, but also parents, schools, and community leaders to uphold and protect child rights at all levels.

Training Children on Their Rights and Responsibilities

We conduct interactive training sessions with children in schools and communities to help them understand their rights and responsibilities as outlined in both national laws and international frameworks such as the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

Through storytelling, games, role-plays, and dialogue, children are equipped to recognize abuse, seek help, and become confident in advocating for themselves and others.

Parental Training on Child Rights and Positive Parenting

Parents and caregivers play a crucial role in the safety and development of children. CaRNaC Uganda provides parental education sessions that cover:

  • Child rights and responsibilities
  • The importance of nurturing care and positive discipline
  • How to create safe and supportive home environments

These sessions help shift harmful cultural norms and encourage families to embrace practices that promote the holistic development of their children.
